6th Grade Field Trip a Success
School Day at the K

With a crowd in attendance of over 21,000 students, Kansas City's Fox 4 News put on their annual School Day at the K for students to learn about weather and climate.
The morning was filled with interactive experiments for all students to see on the field as well as the world's largest HD screen in center field. There wasn't a bad seat in the house. This was an excellent opportunity for the students to learn more in-depth about the weather and climate unit they finished in their science class. Along with NASA astronauts and meteorologists on hand, there was a landing of the Fox 4 weather helicopter as well.
After the morning events with Fox 4, the students were able to stay for the 1:10 game against the Detroit Tigers and won 8-4. The Royals swept the series with the Tigers 4-0, so the students were able to bring the Royals the extra "umph" they needed to pull off the sweep.
Thanks to all the adults that went along for their supervision of their groups. It wouldn't have been possible without their support.
