Family sponsor must be a member of an American Legion Post. Also, based on 250-500 word essays, GPA, and family need.

This scholarship is based on personal essay, transcript of grades, and letter of recommendation from school principal or counselor and family need.
Catherine and Homer Thomason Nursing Scholarship Due: April 5
This is a one time nursing scholarship for one Jefferson County senior.
Catherine Pierson / McLouth Education Association Scholarship Due: April 5
Applicant must be pursuing a major in teacher education.
Chase W. Coffin Memorial Scholarship Due: April 12
Scholarship is based on college or vocational school major, school and community activities, letter of recommendation and personal essay.

Open to any McLouth High School senior enrolling in a vocational or technical career in heavy construction or industrial arts.

Jefferson County Education Scholarship Due: March 1
The scholarship will be determined on the following basis: a) Application and activities, b) Interview, and c) Letters of recommendation. This scholarship application must be picked up in the Guidance Office.
Jefferson County Farm Bureau Scholarship Due: April 1
Any senior whose family is a member of the Jefferson County Farm Bureau and attending a Kansas college or university. This scholarship may be picked up in the Guidance Office when it becomes available.
Jefferson County Insurance and Financial Services Inc. Scholarship Due: May 3
This scholarship is aimed at helping a worthy student meet the financial needs of attending an institute of higher education in Kansas. This scholarship may be picked up in the Guidance Office when it becomes available.
Jim Petrie Memorial Scholarship Due: April 5
Senior enrolled in college or vocational school. Student must write a short essay explaining future plans and financial needs.
McLouth Kiwanis Club Scholarship Due: April 5
This scholarship is for seniors attending college or vocational schools. It is based on school and community activities, family need and community service.
McLouth Recreation Commission Scholarship Due: April 12
This scholarship is awarded to seniors who plan to study sports medicine, physical education or related recreational majors.
Nelle L. Wellman Memorial Scholarship Due: April 12
This scholarship is for seniors attending college or vocational schools. Student must write a short essay explaining financial need, educational plans, career goals and why they should receive the scholarship.
Pete Edmonds Scholarship Due; May 3
This scholarship is for college or vocational school and is based on family needs, high school transcript and character references. Scholarship may be renewed for four years in college.
Stan and Fern Braksick Scholarship Due: April 12
This scholarship is for college or vocational school and is based on family needs, career goals and the high school transcript.
The Paul E. Flaherty Athletic Scholarship Due: July 15
Seniors must have participated in some form of high school athletics and must be average or better than average scholastically. Based on three letters of recommendation- one from a former coach, family need, school transcript, 250-500 essay and a complete application form.
