McLouth Spelling Bee
January 24, 2010
B On January 14, Elementary students in grades three, four and five as well as Middle School students, battled to be named champion of their school’s Spelling Bee. Each round the announcer would share words wondering if they could be spelled correctly. Elimination was a difficult thing. Students lasted through many rounds of words, spelling each one correctly until one letter would send them to the seat in the audience. The final round came and was hard fought.
The Elementary School champion is fourth grader, Natalie Papa-Richardson. Julia Johnston, a third grader, became the alternate during the final round.
