McLouth Bulldogs 2015-2016 Basketball Coaching Staff
With the basketball season underway, you may have seen some new faces on court and maybe even some familiar ones. Returning for the 2015-2016 basketball season, former middle school assistant coach Zach Carlton has now taken the position of head coach for the high school boys basketball team. Coach Carlton played baseball, basketball, and football at Gardner Kansas High School. He is looking forward to grow the team and watch them come together.
Assistant coach for the team is Sean Carter. He has been coaching for 8 years and is looking forward to the opportunity to meet student athletes and to help them grow. Coach Carter graduated from Cherryville High School and played sports for 2 years. In his freetime, Carter enjoys reading nonfiction books and watching either V for Vendetta or Gladiator. This year, he also coaches football and track.
Also returning to the court this year is Kristie Clark. Clark was formerly head middle school and assistant high school girls basketball coach. She is now the Athletic Director and head coach for the high school girls basketball team. Clark has had a love for the game since childhood. She played basketball all four years of high school at McLouth. She has been coaching in McLouth for 3 years and is excited about the season. As a coach, she is looking forward to building a new team and making all of her players better.
Assisting Clark this season is Jessica Lindshield. She is from Lindsborg Kansas and graduated from Smoky Valley High School. Playing sports was a big part of her life growing up. She learned from many great coaches and now feels fortunate to have the same opportunity to give back to student athletes. Coach Lindshield brings 5 years of previous coaching experience to McLouth.
This year Sterling Roaf takes charge of the court as head coach for the girls and boys middle school basketball teams. He is from Pine Bluff, Arkansas but graduated from Wilbur D. Mills High School in Mill Valley. Coach Sterling attended St. Mary’s college where he played college basketball. This season, he brings two and a half years of coaching experience to the middle school athletic department. Coach Sterling is looking forward to improving all of his players this season.
Coach Sterling welcomes Joe Segraves onto the court as assistant coach for both middle school basketball teams. Mr. Seagraves is from Overland Park and graduated high school at Olathe East. He played basketball during his high school career and has coached for 1 year. Coach Seagraves looks forward to the opportunity to be around student athletes and help improve all of their skills.
