The Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon! The Scholastic Book Fair is a reading event that brings the books kids want to read right into our school. Find hundreds of books from new and favorite authors, popular series, cool posters and school supplies, not to mention fun! Last year we had $6853.00 dollars in sales and raised $3794.00 for our library, with the support of our students, parents, grandparents, teachers, volunteers and PTO. With the money raised, new books were added to classrooms by filling teacher wish lists, the library shelves were filled with new titles, and new books were purchased to give to each student during Read Across America Week. The library also purchased a new rug and seating for our reading corner.
Book Fair Dates: October 30th – November 3rd
Shopping Hours: 8:00 am – 4:00 pm
Special Activities: Grandparent’s Day November 3rd
ACK THIS YEAR: THE GIVING TREE!
Students can take a chance to win books and prizes by participating in the “lollipop pull”. The cost is a quarter (25¢) per pull. Students can win a prize if the end of the lollipop stick is painted. The money collected will go toward our All for Books campaign to purchase books for our library!

*Students will have the opportunity to visit the Book Fair with their classes during school hours. Students may bring money to school and purchase books. (Please include sales tax rate of 7.5%) Parents are always welcome at the Book Fair and may come anytime during fair hours to shop! Please check in at the office on arrival, then enjoy your shopping. At the Fair, check out each teacher’s handpicked “Classroom Wish List”. If you would like to add to your child’s classroom library, you simply select one or more books from that list and once your purchase has been made, a personalized bookplate will be placed in the book. Gift certificates will be available for purchase, too. Payment can be in the form of cash or checks made payable to USD 342 or credit card. We will be accepting Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover.
