"Music is the universal language of mankind." ~Henry Wadsworth Longfellow
"Music expresses that which cannot be said and on which it is impossible to be silent." ~Victor Hugo
"Music is an outburst of the soul." ~Frederick Delius
These are just a few famous quotes by people that has realized the importance and significance of music. I have come here to McLouth to ignite a fire that is the appreciation, respect, and love for music. As the new K-12 Vocal Music Teacher, I could not be more happy. I graduated high school from Perry-Lecompton so I am very accustomed to the small-town feel and have a great respect for it. I recently graduated from the University of Kansas with a Bachelor's in Music Education and am so thrilled to have the opportunity to be here at McLouth. The McLouth community has been so kind and gracious to me so far and I could not be more appreciative. I feel so lucky and blessed to be here. The first concert for the high school choir will be on Tuesday October 25, 2011 and I hope to see you all there! Thank you so much for all your support!
Go Bulldogs!
