Phillip Thomas, Technology Coordinator
The most exciting phrase to hear in science, the one that heralds new discoveries, is not 'Eureka!' (I found it!) but 'That's funny ...' Isaac Asimov
Science is without a doubt a large part of who and what I am, and let me tell you why. I grew up in North Louisiana (for someone from Louisiana, note no e, there is a reason to capitalize South and North Louisiana) and attended a high school not much larger than McLouth and was a student in the first “computer” class for the school, then after an extensive college “career/tour” I taught science in Jr. High and High School in Arkansas for 12 yrs and 2 yrs in Missouri. During my time in Arkansas I also served as the technology coordinator for a district similar in size to McLouth for two years while being a full time teacher. In 2006 I completed a Masters in Information Architecture degree with an additional Graduate Certificate in Network Security. So as you can image science has been a large part of who and what I am for most of my life and I foresee it remaining as such.
It is my foremost effort as Technology Coordinator for McLouth USD 342 to bring not only my knowledge of technology but also my experience as a teacher in small school districts to the benefit of the students and faculty/staff of McLouth.
