Welcome to my page! I've been a teacher in the McLouth Schools for over 20 years. I've taught Kindergarten, 3rd grade, and now I have the privilege of teaching in our middle school. What allows me to teach so many different grade levels? I've got a BS in Elementary Education and a minor in history from St. Mary University. I am also a graduate of the K-State Reading Specialist Program which has provided me expert instructional skills to teach reading and writing strategies, especially in content areas such as Social Studies. Finally, I also have a Master's Degree in Adult and Continuing Education from K-State. My family has lived in Kansas for many generations. I live in a very old farm house (built in 1898) that once belonged to my great-grandparents. We have a few cows, a flock of free range chickens, 2 dogs, and more cats than I can count! We live about 20 minutes from McLouth in the Pleasant Ridge school district. I have two children and 1 granddaughter. My oldest son works for the VA in Leavenworth. My youngest son is a senior at KU this year. My granddaughter is 6 years old and is so much fun! I am positive this is going to be a great school year!!
