A HUGE Thank You goes out to Blue Collar Press and Daniel’s Excavating! They have decided to generously donated the 2020 Field Day t-shirts. This means that every student and teacher will get a plain white t-shirt with white screen printing. Below is the design for the 2020 Field Day t-shirts. Once the teacher’s tie-dye their shirts, the white lettering will “pop” out.
To show your appreciation for their generous donation, please take the time to visit the Blue Collar Press and Daniel’s Excavating Facebook pages and send them a “Thank You” message!
Dear Parents / Guardians,
Field Day 2020 is scheduled for Friday, May 8th located at the McLouth Football Stadium.
Considering the success of the past Field Days, we will continue participating in several stations which will focus on classic games, track events, sports activities, relay activities, and target games that will focus on individual skills, strategy and teamwork; followed by Class Challenges! However, we have restructured Field Day to stay within the fenced area of the track and football field!
The Team/Class Challenges will take place towards the end of Field Day and will only consist of the Tug-of-War Challenge and a Running Challenge. The Running Challenge is optional, so the students do not have to run in the event. K & 1st graders will run 400m (1 lap), 2nd & 3rd graders will run 800m (2 laps), and 4th & 5th grades will run a mile (4 laps)! We would love for you to come watch and support your child(ren) during Field Day.
PARENTS… There are a couple things that we would like to remind you before Field Day.
There will not be an opportunity for adults to purchase a school lunch. If you decided to eat lunch with your child(ren), please remember to bring your own lunch.
Please don’t forget to check into the office.
Please let the children play the games.
Take plenty of pictures!
If you happen to share you pictures with Mr. Scott or Mr. Johnson, they could be “shared” on the school Facebook page and/or in the photo slideshow during the End of the Year Awards Ceremony. If you could, please email just a couple of your best pictures to Mr. Scott (firstname.lastname@example.org) or Mr. Johnson (email@example.com).
One last thing, if weather does not cooperate on May 8th, Field Day will be rescheduled at a later date (dated will be based on weather forecasts)! In extreme weather situations, and we are forced to cancel Field Day, we will create a "Gym Day" schedule for the last week of school, so students will have the opportunity to participate in some of this years Field Day stations during their regularly scheduled Specials time!
Thank you for your time,
Mr. Ryan Scott
